Straw hats are more troublesome to make in two pieces, but generally I don't shy away from cutting the brim away from the crown. By cutting thebrim from the crown you can make adjustments more easily. Nice to see you are making many wo...Hi Kristoffer,<br /><br />Nice to see you are making many wonderful hats!<br />I have been thinking about something when watching your pictures. I personally try to avoid as much as possible cutting the brim away from the crown, and on this hat in particular you had a brim block with a hole which would have allowed you to do the hat in one piece... any particular reason why you didn't do it?<br />Just curious...
