Stråhatt i görningen

Hi Kristoffer,

Nice to see you are making many wonderful hats!
I have been thinking about something when watching your pictures. I personally try to avoid as much as possible cutting the brim away from the crown, and on this hat in particular you had a brim block with a hole which would have allowed you to do the hat in one piece... any particular reason why you didn't do it?
Just curious... Perhaps it's just that I'm too lazy... :-)

The hole in the brim block i way too small, so it would be difficult to make it in one piece. Straw hats are more troublesome to make in two pieces, but generally I don't shy away from cutting the brim away from the crown. By cutting thebrim from the crown you can make adjustments more easily. Maybe I shold make a blog entry about cutting the hat, I'll make it in english for you to read.
